POLICIES AND PROCESSES

FEES AND REFUNDS

We are committed to transparency. Please read this section carefully, along with the fees listed in your Course Brochure and Student Agreement. The Student Agreement includes the full payment schedule, options, and your rights.

Key Protections for Your Fees

We protect your fees at all times by:

• Maintaining sufficient funds to repay prepaid tuition if needed.

• Being a member of the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) — this helps international students if we cannot fully deliver your course. TPS allows you to either:

• Complete your studies with another provider/course, or

• Receive a refund of unspent tuition fees.

Pre-Payment Limit

You are not required to pay more than 50% of total course fees before course commencement (except for courses shorter than 26 weeks). You may choose to pay more or in full if you wish — this will be noted in your Student Agreement.

Non-Tuition Fees (Additional Charges)

These fees may apply in addition to the tuition fees advertised in the Course Brochure:

Non-Tuition Fee Amount
Deferral fee Nil
Re-assessment fee (after 2 free attempts) $100 per attempt
Late payment of course fees $100 per week (delayed payment)
Credit transfer Nil
RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) Application fee $250
RPL Unit fee $500
Re-issuance of certificate $100

Payment Requirements

• Pay fees by the due date on your invoice.

• Payments go to the account specified on the invoice.

• If payment is overdue:

• 1st Warning Letter: Sent if not paid/contacted within 5 days.

• 2nd Warning Letter: Sent if still not paid/contacted within 5 days of 1st letter.

• Notice of Intention to Report: Sent if still not resolved within 5 days of 2nd letter.

• Continued non-payment may lead to enrolment cancellation and referral to a debt collection agency.

Refunds – General

• Application fees are non-refundable (except in specific cases before course start).

• All refunds are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and paid to the person/organisation who paid the fees.

• Refunds do not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

How to Apply for a Refund

• For automatic refunds (e.g., course cancelled by us before start): No form needed — processed within 10 working days.

• In all other cases: Submit a Refund Application Form (available from our office) within 10 working days of the event.

• We will assess and notify you of the outcome within 20 working days.

International Student Refunds – Specific Circumstances

In addition to the general refund policy, the following applies for international students:

Circumstance Refund Due
College cancels course before commencement Full refund of all fees
College cancels course after commencement Full refund of unspent fees (calculated as: weekly tuition fee × remaining weeks)
Student withdraws before course starts (automatic in some cases) As per Student Agreement (often full refund minus admin fee if applicable)
Other cases (e.g., visa issues, special circumstances) Assessed case-by-case via Refund Application Form

For full details on refunds (including visa refusal, withdrawal timelines, provider default), refer to your Student Agreement and the ESOS Act/National Code requirements.

Contact our office immediately if you need to discuss payments, deferrals, or refunds.
